My Blog

What I look forward to most around the holidays are the dinner parties; getting family and friends together over decadent dishes, delicious cocktails and beautiful decor but entertaining in my small 800 sq ft. apartment can be tricky. My dining room is quite tiny to say the least but its saving grace is the extendable dining table I picked up from IKEA. Believe it or not, I can seat 6 people around this table for a rather intimate dinner party!

When it comes to the holiday table setting, I prefer to keep things as easy and fuss free as possible with timeless linens, glassware and minimal decor. {The dinner table should be all about the food, drinks and conversation.} For decor, I usually gravitate towards black linens because I can’t stand the sight of stains on my white tablecloth {anyone feeling my pain?} I also  love to use baby’s breath as a centerpiece by placing small bunches across the center of the table, I then add lots of tea lights for soft candle lit dinners. Holiday ornaments are the easiest way to add color and sparkle to my table and I usually use left over decorations from my Christmas tree.

Here’s a closer look at how I’ll be setting the easiest holiday table ever this season:

Happy entertaining this holiday!
