An inexpensive bathroom makeover in Russian Hill, San Francisco.

February 3, 2014

When it comes to city living, apartment bathrooms are often small, dingy and in serious need of updating. To breathe new life into this tiny, boring bathroom……  first things first: CLEAN, CLEAN, CLEAN!!! Cleaning and de-cluttering a space will make it look bigger and brighter. Next, I wanted to bring in a refreshing pop of bold color by adding this graphic floral shower curtain from World Market. The colors are fresh, soothing and spa like! Storage is always an issue for small spaces but trying to add additional cabinets or shelves can make your bathroom look even smaller. My solution: hang beautiful baskets on the wall! It’s a stylish yet functional way to store and display bath items.  Now, here comes the fun part…. Accessories! Adding beautiful inexpensive touches such as fresh flowers, scented soaps, lotions, candles, towels and beautiful jars filled with bath necessities will set the stage for a stylish bathroom. To round it all out, adding a soft and cozy bath mat will make stepping out of your shower a luxurious treat!
