Yes, I’m well aware that acai bowls have been the craze for a couple years now but good things last for a reason and this berrylicious boost of powerful antioxidants and protein is on repeat in my summer bikini breakfast routine. It’s rich, sweet, satisfying but seriously light and energizing…. which is what makes this the BEST meal of the day! And since I eat with my eyes first, I love to load on yummy toppings such as organic granola, shredded coconut and my favorite berries to create the prettiest dish ever. It’s also such a cinch to make that there’s no earthly reason why you shouldn’t be indulging in this berry goodness all summer long.

Here’s my simple recipe for a delicious acai berry bowl:

1 single serve packet Sambazon smoothie 1/2 banana, frozen 1/2 cup blueberries, frozen 1/2 cup strawberries, frozen 1 scoop chocolate protein powder Splash of almond milk 1/4 cup organic granola 1/4 cup shredded coconut

Assorted organic berries

In a blender cup, add the Sambazon smoothie mix, frozen banana, frozen blueberries, frozen strawberries, protein powder and milk. Blend for a couple minutes until smooth. Pour into a bowl and top with granola, coconut and berries. ENJOY!
