My Blog

My bedside table is becoming quite personal these days and I’ve noticed that there have been a few usual suspects hanging around on a daily basis. When it comes to choosing the right nightstand or bedside table for your room, I suggest measuring the height of your bed from the floor to the top of your mattress. I would then look for a table that is either 2 inches higher, lower or the same height. Anything else could end up looking disproportional. I found this beautiful mirrored end table that reflects the light coming in from my window during the day and sparkles at night when I turn on the lights. I absolutely love it.

Next, came the best part…. styling!!! The first piece I purchased for my nightstand was the lamp. I wanted something classic yet timeless and went for a black lamp shade to compliment my navy headboard. The rest kind of all just came together from everyday use. At night, I always keep a decanter filled with fresh lemon water. {I drink a ton of water and I find myself waking up in the middle of the night parched. Plus, I can’t stop raving about the benefits of drinking lemon water 24/7! Try it, your skin will thank you!} In addition, I always put on a rich hand cream and moisturizing lip balm before going to bed. I found the cutest lotion dispenser at H&M and my go-to nightime lip balm is Fresh Sugar Therapy Lip Treatment. This stuff tastes soooo good {ask my cavapoo Sofia!} and you wake up with the softest and most kissable lips.

In my opinion, fresh flowers are a must for any bedside table. I love waking up to the look and fragrance of fresh blooms….. they just put a smile on my face. I also tend to take my jewelry off right before I go to bed so they usually end up on my nightstand if I’m too lazy to walk all the way over to my dresser! Lastly, storage is very important to me. Clutter is the bane of my existence so beautiful jewelry boxes make the best storage solution for little knick knacks laying around. Ohhhh… and those chocolates? Well, they’re truffles and don’t you know, “Chocolate makes everything better?”  🙂
